Dr. Murugesu's research focuses on the design and synthesis of new nanoscale inorganic materials in order to study their interesting physical properties such as magnetism, conductivity and optical properties.

Prof. Lessard’s research focuses on the development of novel materials and their integration into organic electronic devices such as bio sensors, organic thin film transistors, organic photovoltaics and organic light emitting diodes.

Karin’s research involves developing new ways to harness the sun’s energy.  Topics include new materials, high efficiency light sources and light detectors, solar cells and modules as well as new electrical grid architectures and voltage converters.

Research in sustainable polymer reaction engineering which includes the synthesis of new polymers using renewable materials and the development of sustainable polymerization processes.

Dr. Sanchez research interests center on two major themes: a) assessment of the actual damage (i.e. diagnosis) and the potential for further deterioration (i.e. prognosis) of aging concrete infrastructure and; b) designing high-performance materials for sustainable development in concrete construction.
